Job Summary:
The Project Engineer will assist in the design, planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. This role involves working closely with senior engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and a keen willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project plans, drawings, schedules, and budgets. Support senior engineers and project managers in coordinating tasks and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, drawings, and technical specifications. Ensure all project-related documents are up-to-date and properly archived.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to the project team, including conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting in problem-solving activities.
- Site Visits: Participate in site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support on-site project activities as needed.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers. Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure project objectives are understood and met.
- Quality Control: Assist in monitoring and ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Support in conducting inspections and quality assurance activities.
- Procurement: Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring that all purchases comply with project specifications and budget constraints.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior engineers and project managers, highlighting key issues, risks, and achievements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Experience: 2-5 years or more of experience in an engineering role or internship experience in a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit or similar). Basic understanding of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Other Requirements: Project work in a food manufacturing facility is a plus.
