Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Seattle, WA. This is a 12+ month contract position.


Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with our line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions to protect various software applications.
  2. Be able to create a prototype to prove the design.
  3. Document the current state of the application in terms of these parameters and also describes the future state.
  4. Involved in every release, every project, and all phases of development.
  5. At every step the lead reviews project artifacts to ensure that the application suites interests are adequately addressed.
  6. Supervise and develop software to ensure delivery of Initiatives for specific applications or application groups.
  7. Supervising initiatives in parallel from a software development standpoint to ensure applications are engaged in correct processes resulting in stable, quality deliverables.
  8. Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions.
  9. Responsible for assisting senior business leaders and management.
  10. Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
  11. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  12. Leads or has responsibility for estimation of effort for software application for one or more programmers.
  13. Coordinates collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
  14. Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives.
  15. Clearly recognized as a content expert by peers.

Requirements:

  1. 6+ years of hands-on working experience to develop mission-critical, large scale, high volume enterprise and distributed applications using Java/J2EE.
  2. Strong understanding of OO design and strong programming skills with Java. Knowledge of using one or multiple J2EE application servers.
  3. Strong experience in Java development of RESTful Services using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SOAP Webservices.
  4. Strong experience in Oracle Stored Procedures and designing tables.
  5. Experience with Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consuming.
  6. Experience in Junit Test cases development, Performance Testing, Optimization, and Code analysis.
  7. Experience using Relational Oracle SQL/PLSQL and No SQL distributed Cassandra DB Technologies.
  8. Strong experience using Development tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEs, Maven, GIT, Bit Bucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, and SOAP UI.
  9. Experience in building high volume, scalable, available, and distributed Technologies.
  10. Experience with standard development design patterns of Creational, Behavioral, and JEE.
  11. Experience in handling cross-functional issues by coordinating with distributed development teams across regions.
  12. Experience with development models such as Agile and SDLC. Knowledge of test-driven development.
  13. Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment to meet release deliverables.

Desired Skills:

  1. AI and Machine Learning experience.
  2. Experience in the Financial Domain on Online Banking and Fraud prevention detection using Machine Learning and Big Data Processing Technologies.

Pay Range:

$61.60-$69.60
