ABCD's Public Information team is hiring! If you are a detail-oriented individual passionate about community development and possess the skills to excel in this role, we invite you to join our team at ABCD as a Graphic Designer. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the design team to develop creative marketing campaign strategies.
  • Review current brochures, newsletters, videos, slideshow presentations and plan, design and execute revisions, improvements and new materials as needed.
  • Create invitations, programs for events, brochures, posters, newsletters and ads.
  • Provide creative development and print and digital production-ready design for materials for major ABCD special events such as the annual gala, Field of Dreams, Hoop Dreams, and others.
  • Help to maintain the creative archive and photo library.
  • Manage multiple projects with numerous cross-functional contacts.
  • Provide reports and status updates on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with ABCD Purchasing Department and vendors to achieve optimum cost/quality outcomes.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of relevant experience in graphic and/or digital design is required.
  • High-level computer design skills and proficiency with design software and digital technologies such as Adobe Creative Cloud/InDesign, Illustrator; CMS platforms such as WordPress and Wix; proficiency working on a Mac or PC; proficiency with Google WorkSpace and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with basic HTML/CSS, motion graphics and project management is a plus.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Must be energetic and creative.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work in a team required.
  • Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
