This role can be done from anywhere in the United States from one of our office locations or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location.

The Electrical Sourcing Manager - Electrical Components, in working closely with our Engineering teams, will lead a team jointly responsible for commercial relationships with suppliers, cost negotiations, continuity of supply, sourcing strategy, supply risk mitigation and diversification of the supply chain to support Sonos overall supply chain growth.

Working with our US/Asia based teams, this leader will engage our US based Product Development, PRL, PCL, Materials Program Management, Supplier Quality, and Industrial Design from initial product development through EOL.

The candidate for this leadership position will have strong technical and commercial skills, knowledge of semiconductor supply chains and innovative technology trends that will allow the candidate to spearhead advantaged supply chain strategies in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

1. Manage supplier relationships and commercial activities such as business and technology reviews, RFQs, and roadmap/strategy discussions.
2. Craft comprehensive commodity and business strategies aimed at maximizing efficiency and driving down costs through strategic initiatives.
3. Lead executive business reviews with internal/ external stakeholders.
4. Establish commodity strategic direction by working with our technical teams, understanding the technical and the necessary business requirements that allow for a competitive advantage and position us for profitable growth. This requires a deep understanding of the supply base, technical needs and cost structures.
5. Build robust supply chains based on product requirements and needs at the most basic levels of our supply chain to ensure that we have a complete and thorough understanding of the Sonos supply chain.
6. Ensure continuity of supply. Set up long-term/ short-term capacity planning with supplier, partner with Operations and Material teams to schedule supply to meet Sonos’s component demand.
7. Collaborate with Product design and Engineering teams to review initial specifications of the parts/modules recommend sources to influence technical decisions in early phase of the program.
8. Be able to manage multiple projects in parallel.
9. Evaluate technical and business risks, analyze based on the data and create mitigation plans/alternatives.
10. Need to support management of development builds, materials, and any risk to execute successful ramp in NPI stage.

What You'll Need:

1. BS degree with strong technical acumen and business understanding.
2. 8+ years work experience in sourcing related field.
3. Ability to toggle between strategic and detail oriented thinking.
4. Top-notch negotiation skills.
5. Ability to influence cross functional teams.
6. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to problem solving.
7. Strategic thinker and result oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degrees or Master degree in electrical engineering preferred.
2. Travel within US as well as internationally up to 15% of the time.
3. Experience in consumer electronics industry.
4. Established relationships with suppliers and supply chains.
5. Experience in systems - Arena, Microstrategy, Tableau, SAP.
6. Hands-on experience in any of the following: Electrical engineering, Semiconductor markets, Pricing strategy for electrical parts.

At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience. All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity. Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between: $128,000 and $141,900.
