Senior Software Engineer – Blue Sky
This is a position on the Blue Sky software development team, our products focus on Blue Sky regulatory and compliance services within the US Mutual Fund space. The role will focus on platform enhancements and maintenance for our leading cloud based SAAS product Blue Sky Solutions. You will work closely with our product owners and technical teams. You will also be an integral part of our software development team, maintaining and driving agile and SDLC best practices to efficiently deliver our product with a high level of quality. About the Role
As a Senior Software Developer, you will drive product implementation to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products. Your focus will be on maintaining and developing our Blue Sky platform. You will be involved in the initial discovery through to design and implementation. This role requires an engineer with full stack skills.
Responsibilities
- Operating within a fast paced agile/scrum environment. You will be a part of and help improve our products to meet our customer needs.
- Participating and contributing in our scrum ceremonies. You will be comfortable working with Atlassian suite throughout our daily scrum activities. We are a Microsoft shop on the backend. You will be expected to have good experience with relevant development tools (Visual Studio, Resharper, MS SSMS).
- Advocating for quality and performance alongside engineering and business stakeholders. You will have a delivery centric mindset, with a focus on value, reusability, and extensibility.
- Supporting team members including the tech lead/architect and contributing to the creation and implementation of software designs/architecture.
Requirements
- Experience currently and extensively with .net/core, C#, Web API, Entity Framework, MS SQL. Cloud based architectures with AWS.
- Possess extensive and current API/backend development experience, including proficiency writing SQL. Front end Angular, TypeScript is a critical component as well.
- Have expertise in finding and fixing performance related issues within business and data layers.
- Have an understanding of the software development process, agile methodologies, verification of functional and non-functional requirements.
