Mobile App QA Engineer

Job Description: The QA engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the best-in-class delivery of bug-free mobile applications. This position requires identifying, documenting, creating, and executing exploratory tests to ensure regression-free and high-quality customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate should be passionate about quality assurance and manual mobile application testing with performance and usability in mind.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans.
  2. Execute test cases and perform defect tracking/management.
  3. Perform UAT/regression testing against mobile applications, APIs, Web services, and external tools.
  4. Identify, report, and document QA issues and other project risks to product managers.
  5. Work with development teams on Sprint planning and related test requirements.
  6. Engage with users for more comprehensive testing/debugging when required.
  7. Perform initial root cause analysis for Mobile App ServiceNow tickets.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years of experience with app testing and debugging on both Android and iOS devices.
  • Experience working with engineering and product teams to develop test plans for mobile applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM applications.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 360 or Firebase Analytics).
  • Good understanding of mobile technologies.
  • Experience documenting thorough and appropriately-detailed bug reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Good people skills; ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with business and team members.
  • Able to come on-site to perform manual testing as needed.
