Job Summary:
Maverick Power has an immediate opening for a Product Engineer II.
Ensure that Maverick Power follows compliance requirements set by the Regulatory Authorities in which Maverick Power is licensed and listed to manufacture products. Be the liaison between manufacturing and design engineering. Knowledge of panelboards, switchboards and switchgear, creating bills of materials, developing drawings, seeking alternative components, helping production and other engineering related activities.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
· Work with regulatory agencies to schedule and coordinate testing requirements.
· Work with Quality Management to ensure all calibration requirements are met and current.
· Train staff on compliance requirements when needed.
· Conduct random audits to ensure the company is adhering to compliance standards
and company mission statements.
· Work directly with regulatory agencies through their compliance audit schedules.
· Assemble audit reports and review with necessary management teams.
· MTR testing/tracking.
· UL’s PO requests/Receiver number requests/Requesting AP to pay invoices.
· Purchasing/Tracking/Printing UL labels.
· Point of contact between production and engineering troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise.
- Support Maverick’s manufacturing, testing, quality, and field service teams to ensure proper implementation of designs.
- Work side-by-side with design engineering team on new product developments.
- Support Field Service during installation, commissioning and troubleshooting both remotely as well as onsite as required.
· Performs other job-related duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and 3 years
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience interpreting electrical schematic drawings.
- Strong problem solving & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with engineering and manufacturing personnel.
- Must be able to effectively utilize time.
- Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 67, UL 1558, UL 508A, IEEE/ANSI C37, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, 2 years minimum.
- Knowledge of low voltage switchboard (UL891)/ switchgear design (UL1558)/panelboard (UL67), installation, and use.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchgear.
- Ability to interpret basic electrical diagrams including front elevation, one-line, and schematic drawings.
- Excellent problem resolution skills.
- Must be able to complete criminal record background check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Must comply with all company policies.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing on manufacturing floor, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
