STV currently has openings for an Engineering Specialist in the Transportation group in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
We areseeking aStructural Engineering Specialist (Bridge design) with0 to 3 years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation & Infrastructure group.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation design.
- Construction document production, including drawings and specifications.
- Perform Bridge load ratings.
- Review of shop drawings.
The qualified candidate must possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's Degree preferred).
- Experience in use of Microstation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Additional positive attributes include:
- EIT/FE certification
- Familiarity with PennDOT structural analysis and design software and plan preparation.
- Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, Finite Element Analysis.
- Experience in use in Open Roads, Open Bridge, and Projectwise software packages.
- HEC RAS and bridge hydraulic experience and scour evaluation.
- Familiarity with PennDOT, NJDOT and AASHTO design standards is a plus
Compensation Range:
