Mission

Kingfisher is seeking a Data Engineer for a confidential Department of Defense client. Client mission includes:

1. Leading the Department's strategy and policy on data, analytics, and AI adoption, as well as governing and overseeing efforts across the Department.
2. Enabling the development of digital and AI-enabled solutions across the Department, while also selectively scaling proven solutions for enterprise and joint use cases.
3. Providing a sophisticated cadre of technical experts that serve as a de facto data and digital response force able to address urgent crises and emerging challenges with state-of-the-art digital solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Code and manage changes to the existing FM Common Data Model.
2. Support the configuration and ingestion of data repositories into analytics and DevOps pipelines.
3. Maintain operational aspects of data transfers, ensuring security and monitoring health.
4. Automate configuration management and stay current on ETL technologies.
5. Engage with functional groups to comprehend client challenges and prototype new ideas.

Required Qualifications

1. Must be a United States Citizen.
2. Experience with Big Data systems and ETL processes.
3. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
4. Ability to apply DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automate the process.

Years of Experience: 10+ years development experience with expertise in Python, Spark, and SQL

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher.

Minimum Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site) Falls Church, Pentagon, Alexandria, or Arlington
