Duties:
Build high-speed, data-centric solutions using Java, Amazon Kinesis, Kafka Streams and relational and NoSQL databases. Develop and deliver technical solutions using AWS foundational services, including VPCs, Security groups, EC2, S3, AWS CLI, AWS Lambda and IAM. Develop Java-based software solutions using Java 8 or higher, serverless Microservice solutions, and REST API. Develop solutions to complex technical challenges while coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documenting the systems. Optimize application performance through analysis, code refactoring, and system tuning. Recommend technologies and tools that improve the efficiency and quality of OCC’s systems and development processes. Collaborate with others to deliver complex projects which may involve multiple systems. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in CS, computational mathematics or related and five (5) years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, Java software engineer, consultant or related. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience, will accept a Master’s degree plus three years of experience in the same fields.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with each of the following:
- Building high-speed, data-centric solutions using Java, Amazon Kinesis, Kafka Streams and relational and NoSQL databases;
- Developing and delivering technical solutions using AWS foundational services, including VPCs, Security groups, EC2, S3, AWS CLI, AWS Lambda and IAM;

Salary:
$153,400 - $174,400
