Site Reliability Engineer (USAF Cloud One) - Various Level & Locations

Leidos is pursuing the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract, and currently has several openings for various levels across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.

These positions will be hybrid remote. Candidates may be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Gunter AFB (Montgomery, AL), Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA), Andrews AFB (D.C. Metro Area), or Joint Base Charleston, SC. Primary Responsibilities Could Include:

• Use software engineering and systems administration to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Use software as a tool to manage systems, solve problems, and automate operations tasks.
• Use software and automation to solve problems and manage production systems.
• Create self-service tools to improve user efficiency, availability, and performance.
• Ensure capacity management for the appropriate amount of resources for services to be scalable, efficient, and reliable.
• Forecast system demand and plan for capacity increases to ensure systems can handle expected and unexpected traffic loads.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
• Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors and five (5) years or more of experience; Masters and three (3) years or more of experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
• US citizenship required.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds.
