Purpose:
You will provide engineering support for the design of substation facilities for voltages up to and including 765 kV for Worley and its Customers as an integral part of the Power Networks team. This includes new substations and switchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform tasks that typically include substation physical design, preparation of specifications, engineering drawings, auxiliary electrical power system studies, grounding calculations, proposal preparation, and supervising/coordination of other engineers.
- Complete tasks in accordance with project procedures, applicable codes and/or standards, on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with project personnel and outside Customers.
- Perform independent audits and reviews of technical work.
- Travel to job sites to perform site walkdowns.
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in substation engineering.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills.
- Sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and applicable standards.
- Competent use of electrical engineering specific software and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in project leadership roles and estimating project costs.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- 4 or 5 year Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States.
