Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • This position is currently hybrid (remote/onsite) and will require working onsite at least twice a week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 to 9 years' experience.
  • Experience working in a Cisco Environment.
  • Experience with Cisco Integrated Service Engine.
  • Proficient in Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless.
  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco network solutions.
  • Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure Express Routes.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Operational knowledge of cloud environments; Network and routing protocols; Windows Server and Microsoft Entra ID; Software Defined Networking.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required.
  • Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and secure access solutions.
  • Configure and maintain security appliances, such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc., ensuring they function optimally and adhere to security policies.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential security threats, analyze and respond to security incidents, and conduct regular security audits.
  • Manage complex hybrid cloud environments: SD-WAN, cloud firewall, on-prem firewall, network access control, wireless environments, load balancing, reverse proxies, and AWS/Azure/cloud networking.
  • Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including virtual networks, security groups, and identity management services.
  • Develop, update, and maintain network documentation of network configurations, topologies, and operational procedures.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Nagios, or other network management systems.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network security-related issues, including participation in on-call rotation as needed.
  • Writing scripts to automate manual tasks and to streamline operational tasks.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting applications load balancing using F5, TM, and GTM load balancing concepts.
  • Knowledge of wireless Ethernet technologies (802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.1x) a plus.
  • Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
