The Private Equity Group (PEG) Automation team focuses on building cutting-edge data and AI solutions for Bain’s consulting case teams. The Automation team is at the forefront of innovation at Bain, helping transform how consultants get work done and how we deliver client results.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
We are seeking a high-energy, high-performing Senior Associate , Full Stack Engineer to work in the Innovation wing of our Private Equity Group (PEG) on the following:
- Develop and deploy innovative products for our case teams
- Identify and trial new advanced analytics tools
- Create and execute own ideas for how PEG processes can be improved
The Senior Associate , Full Stack Engineer reports to an Engineering Lead in our PEG Innovation team, and works within the broader PEG team globally, as well as Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Writing code and developing new products/features (50%)
- Maintenance, QA, and bug fixes on existing products and modules (20%)
- Communicating with stakeholders and designing new products/modules (15%)
- Supporting case teams with custom requests/use cases (15%)
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 or more years of relevant work experience
- 3+ years of cumulative experience using Python and JavaScript
- Experience with at least one major JS framework (Svelte, React, Vue)
- Experience with at least one major Python web framework (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Domain expertise in consulting or private equity would be helpful but not required
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package.
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In New York City, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $113,000 - $135,500.
- In California state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $104,000 - $135,500.
- In Washington state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $104,000 - $125,000.
