CNC Machinist

Description
The primary responsibility for this position is to run equipment to produce machined parts to the drawings and specifications provided by the customer and internal staff in accordance with Wauseon Machine's quality management system and production schedule.
Core Responsibilities:

• Operate lathes, Swiss, and/or mills (may include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously to achieve rate goals).
• Perform in-process inspection (using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment) according to process documentation to produce high quality parts.
• Change cutting tools and offset machines as needed.
• Read basic blueprints.

Qualifications:

• Strong math abilities (decimals, fractions, etc.).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of experience running CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines.
• Knowledge of milling and turning operations, including G-code.
• Experience in setup and programming of CNC lathes, mills, and/or Swiss machines.
• CAD/CAM experience.
• GD&T experience.
