MJ is seeking a passionate Project Engineer to join our widely respected and diverse Transportation Division in our Northeast office locations, with preference or priority currently given to candidates in Connecticut.

Your Role:
Successful candidates will be a technically well-versed, motivated, licensed P.E. with experience working with State DOT and Municipal Projects.
Primary responsibilities include working with a team of multidisciplinary engineers, leading the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects including; roadway alignment design and 3D modeling, grading and drainage design, pavement design, utilities, stormwater design, quantities, specifications, and contract documents for State DOT and Municipal projects throughout the East Coast.
Some fieldwork travel may be required.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Licensed P.E. required.
  • 5-10 years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
  • CTDOT Experience Preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Business Development Experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team, develop and maintain client relations, meet project demands and schedules.

Pay Range:
MJ is committed to ensuring a culture of fair and equitable compensation for all our valued employee-owners. The pay range listed in this posting is an approximation and representation of our good faith effort to provide the anticipated salary range. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to the candidate's work location, relevant experience, educational background, licensure or certifications, and capabilities compared to the requirements of the advertised position.
Pay Range: $35-$55/hr excluding incentive compensation/profit performance plan.
