Role Overview
As the Tech/Team Lead, you will manage and lead a development pod, blending technical
leadership with managerial duties. You'll set the technical vision, oversee daily activities, enforce
standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals.
Your team includes a BA/QA Co-Lead, QA staff, and Full Stack Developers. The company
utilizes various technologies like APIs, automation, web apps, and real-time processing
systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development pod
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding, architecture, and schema standards
- Instill a culture of technical excellence and manage the pod's workflow
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers on complex challenges and implementations
- Oversee architectural decisions and evolve the product's technical vision
- Lead schema design efforts focused on performance, scalability, and security
- Work closely with the QA/BA Co-Lead to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Mentor team members and support their professional growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Extensive experience with full software stack ownership and accountability
- Prior experience managing and providing technical guidance to teams
- Azure PaaS skills desired (Service Bus, Queues, App Services, etc.)
- Proficient in C# .NET 6.0 - 8.0 and T-SQL schema/query optimization
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like Angular 15+
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000 annually, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Location:
This is a hybrid role based in the Greater Chicago area. The typical hybrid schedule follows an
office-centric model, with employees working on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
each week. Remote work is supported on Mondays and Fridays, enabling a healthy work-life
balance.
