Senior Market Data Developer (Python)
We are a global financial firm with offices in Chicago that is looking to add a talented engineer to our growing Chicago based tech team. We employ over 600 people and have been at the forefront in utilizing technology in order to make the best business decisions possible.
We are searching for an experienced Market Data Developer (Python) to assist in the designing of our real-time data delivery platform. In this position, you will frequently interact with business end users, defining requirements and designing the systems to best suit their needs.
You should possess a strong background in Data Delivery, Python, Linux, and SQL.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role we will look for the following in each candidate:
- Python: 5+ years of experience in hands-on development.
- Preference given to those with additional experience in Python, Java, or C#.
- SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- You should have worked within the financial sector developing market data delivery systems.
- Strong communication skills and able to speak with multiple business/tech units.
- BS in Computer Science preferred.
