Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer (DevSecOps) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack software administration, engineering, and production deployments, both on-premises and in the cloud. They should be well-versed in container-based solutions, cloud service provider solutions like Azure, and infrastructure-as-code tools. The candidate must have excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, as well as a strong understanding of multi-tier architectures and cloud security. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems and infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of on-prem and cloud-based production systems.
- Managing releases, promotions, and deployments of software and services across multiple environments.
- Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems.
- Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems.
- System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
- Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance.
- Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions.
- Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
- Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring.
- Designing, maintenance, and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in full stack software administration, engineering, and production deployments.
- Proven experience in administering and performance tuning of application stacks.
- Deep familiarity with cloud service provider solutions like Azure or comparable platforms.
- Experience with multi-tier architectures, including load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking.
- Experience with systems reliability, including metrics monitoring and logging.
- Hands-on experience with container-based deployments.
- Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production.
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements.
- Experience in designing, maintaining, and managing tools for automating operations.
- Strong experience with Linux/UNIX system administration, including configuration, optimization, and network and computer security.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Linux shell scripts, Python, etc.).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Desired Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
Salary Range
$128,400.00 - $215,800.00
