Here is your opportunity to join the Microsoft Cloud for Independent Software Vendor's (ISV) team. We are establishing a new engineering team focused on building and shipping Cross Cloud Framework Components and driving In-depth Engagements with ROTH and Platform ISVs. There is a huge opportunity to work closely with Azure, D365, and M365 organizations and make our ISV’s end-to-end journey (Plan, Build, Deploy, and Manage) successful on the Microsoft Cloud.

You will be working collaboratively with the team to deliver required features, drive resolutions to complex customer-reported issues that span across multiple services, work through competing priorities, solve complex technical challenges to meet business goals, and maintain live site availability. You will also get opportunities to demonstrate end-to-end ownership of features with a quality-first mindset and collaborate across diverse teams of engineers, program managers, and UX designers.

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer full Stack that is passionate about making our ISVs successful on the Microsoft Cloud and desires to join a newly formed team with immense growth opportunities!

Responsibilities

  • Drive modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews.
  • Design & implementation through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data/telemetry to make decisions.
  • Gain a working understanding of Microsoft as a business and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.
  • Collaborate with engineering counterparts across teams and organizations as necessary to deliver engineering solutions.
  • Research, architect, co-develop, and deliver solutions in an agile development environment.
  • Be involved in extensive development and unit testing.
  • Solve manual issues through automation and tooling improvements.
  • Provide guidance for technical decisions.
  • Constantly learn and grow as an engineer.
  • Demonstrate a passion for customers and technology.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale internet-scale services.
  • 2+ years experience coding in C# or Java.
  • 2+ years experience coding in JS or Typescript.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, coding an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or C++.
  • Experience with web scripting (JavaScript/Typescript/NodeJS) and Query language (SQL).
  • Genuine interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience to design for operability.
  • Ownership, urgency, and drive to launch services.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate business and technical ideas to varied audiences across disciplines, including peer engineers, product managers, and management.
  • Great design and problem-solving skills, with a bias for quality and engineering excellence.
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
  • Focused on writing high-quality code and demonstrated use of test automation to ensure said quality.
