Senior Mechanical Tech Lead/ Manager (Power Systems)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Mechanical Tech Lead/Manager with a strong background in power systems and experience working on Navy projects or contracts. The successful candidate will lead the mechanical engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of power systems and related mechanical components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance with military specifications. This position after 90 days onsite has potential 1-2 days remote work per week.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team in the design and development of power systems and related mechanical components for naval applications.
2. Oversee detailed analysis, simulation, and testing of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
3. Develop and implement design solutions for power system integration, thermal management, and structural integrity.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger naval platforms and projects.
5. Ensure thorough testing and validation of mechanical components and systems to meet design specifications and military standards.
6. Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
7. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and power systems technologies.
9. Ensure all projects adhere to Navy requirements, including MIL-STD-810 and other relevant military standards.
10. Lead design reviews, project planning, and risk assessments.
11. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
12. Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support.

Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 a year
