Our client is hiring a Hardware Support Engineer to work onsite in the Salt Lake City, UT area.
In this role you will apply extensive subject matter expertise to address both common and complex business issues, recommending suitable alternatives. You will handle problems of varying complexity and scope, and may lead teams or projects, guiding activities and facilitating information validation and decision-making. You will use independent judgment to identify and select solutions, managing unique situations effectively. You will seek advice for decisions on complex business matters when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Gather and analyze data, escalating issues to higher-level support and management as needed to ensure timely resolution.
· Maintain high customer satisfaction by understanding and communicating their needs.
· Handle hardware support tasks, including installation, configuration, proactive maintenance, and repairs, collaborating with ASM on technical deliverables.
· Resolve most technical incidents independently and work with the team on more complex issues.
· Proactively identify and alert management to potential escalations and provide solutions to prevent future problems.
· Apply solutions to address moderately complex customer needs and balance internal and customer requirements.
· Identify opportunities for additional services that could drive future revenue growth.
· Build strong relationships with management in assigned accounts.
REQUIRED:
· U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to federal regulations and the need for security clearance
· TS/SCI Security Clearance with specific polygraph required at time of hire
· Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 2-3 years working experience in related fields desired.
· Must be comfortable working on-site M-F at customer location near Salt Lake City.
DESIRED SKILLS:
· A good understanding of HPE Cray platform server components, removal and replacement.
