Description
The Senior Systems Software Engineer at Prime Solutions Group, Inc. develops, tests, and deploys information age digital engineering solutions at the nexus of innovative technology and creativity. The Senior Systems Software Engineer innovates in a multidisciplinary team where solutions are modeled and analyzed for advanced autonomous operations in tomorrow’s joint, all domain defense environments. This advanced position applies Digital Engineering (DE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques to engineer future DE Ecosystems (DEE) needed to design and develop next-generation complex systems. The successful candidate has the experience and leadership capability to guide multi-disciplinary teams using the delivered DEE in their ongoing systems engineering work. Additionally, their leadership is needed to support customer objectives to apply DE techniques of simulation and artificial intelligence to analyze and validate designs that deliver system capability. These designs will enable the transformation of massive data volumes into command decision-level warfighter information to prevail in complex contested environments.
The ideal applicant has MBSE experience with Cameo Enterprise Architect and System Modeler to apply Universal Modeling Language (UML) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML) languages in Unified Architecture Framework to develop expressive models suitable for software development. The successful candidate also has prior software development experience using high-level and scripting languages (C, C++, Python) to design, develop, integrate, and test software components that achieve more mission capability when smartly combined into innovative workflows. This position will span Senior Systems Software and Digital Engineering duties.
The Senior Systems Software Engineer works on challenging advanced System of Systems concept development projects using agile development techniques to create high-quality DE solutions in secure environments where a zero-defects attitude makes the difference in mission success. The successful candidate has the system thinking attributes to abstract the needed mission capability and technology solutions into language specific models to drive development. This role combines the systems and software technical expertise needed to execute PSG’s brand of Agile Systems Engineering Lifecycle Management (ASELCM). You will work across domains (systems, software, AI/ML, cloud development, cybersecurity and research) to deliver the unimaginable.
This position establishes a career path for the successful and motivated applicant to expand into systems and software methodology expertise with special emphasis on the architectures needed to accomplish those functions on advanced systems and System of Systems. The experience you will gain on testing these methodologies puts you in the driver’s seat for exciting technical and management leadership roles. This unique position requires a self-starting professional who will represent PSG with the customer in the customer’s facility. PSG is seeking to fill this position with a career-minded entrepreneurial candidate capable of establishing PSG’s presence and a leader in our newly forming office in the Washington Metro Area.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Top-Secret (TS) Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or another related field
- 9+ years relevant experience with BS degree or 7+ years relevant experience with an advanced degree
- 5 years of MBSE experience with advanced expertise in Cameo and/or other modeling tools
Desired Traits and/or Skills:
- Experience in software development using high-level language; C++ and/or Python
- Experience with Modeling Tools like Cameo Systems Modeler
- Experience or familiarity in Cloud (private, public, or hybrid) platform architectures (Amazon Web Service, Azure, Google)
- Must be self-motivated to excel in continuous learning of emerging technologies and lifecycle management processes
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to grow with PSG, personally and collaboratively
- Six Sigma Certification
- Relevant Systems Engineering experience and/or certifications
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
- OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Level I and II
- Experience developing test automation scripts in a continuous integration / continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) environment.
- Experience in test-driven software development, DevOps, and/or CI/CD
- Experience with modeling and analysis tools such as Matlab
- Experience with Python and cloud development APIs
- Experience with other DE tools and services
- Experience working with Git version control
- Knowledge of enterprise software architecture is a bonus
