Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Project Engineer for an oil and gas client located in NW Houston. This person will be joining a construction services department and will be responsible for being a technical lead over an entire plant design project, including overseeing engineers, designers, document controllers, etc. This project engineer manages projects, or proposals, include gas compressor stations, power generation and co-generation facilities, Works closely with the project manager, supply chain, document control, engineers, etc. He/she will be responsible for the overall Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument) and design (Struct, Mech, Electr, Instrument) of projects the client’s generators and compressors sets. Must understand the design flow, work on P&IDs, process flow diagrams, general arrangements, and BODs (basis of design), for a large plant design project. Will also assist with tracking budget, scheduling, and strategy development.
