Job Title: Specialist, Software Engineer

Position Responsibilities Include:

1. Develop software for devices and systems that are used by people every day.
2. Support and participate in all stages of software development, from planning to testing.
3. Create and maintain documentation to ensure clarity and understanding.
4. Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers.
5. Use a variety of software languages on different operating systems.
6. Respond to government requests by creating software proposals.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience OR minimum of 8 years of prior related experience if no degree.

Preferred Skills:

1. Strong C++ programming skills.
2. Experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming.
3. In-depth knowledge of programming languages and application execution.
4. Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt in new areas.
5. Previous experience working with the Department of Defense.
6. Experience in troubleshooting and developing software for embedded devices.
7. Knowledge of embedded systems design and real-time operating systems.
8. Understanding of signal processing, control systems, and networking.
9. Familiarity with protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, etc.
10. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
11. Strong presentation and writing abilities.
