Job Description

Qualifications:

  1. Over six years experience writing SQL statements against relational databases.
  2. Over five years experience developing Java and JEE Applications.
  3. Experience working with the Oracle (11g) relational database.
  4. Strong understanding of RESTful web services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications using Java and SharePoint.
  2. Proficient in SQL and NoSQL database platforms.
  3. Develop an understanding of customer processes and contribute to functional requirements documentation.
  4. Work with solution architects and peers to design a solution and develop the application.
  5. Draw parallels between the requirements of the current project and other projects or tools to facilitate code reuse across the department.
  6. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult business problems that are innovative, thorough, practical, technically sound, and consistent with organizational objectives.

Optional Skills:

  1. Experience developing secure web services and remediating security vulnerabilities.
  2. Experience developing web applications with HTML5 and CSS3.
  3. Experience developing applications using Maven, Spring, jQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap.
  4. Experience with messaging systems (such as JMS).
  5. Experience with JPA, specifically the EclipseLink implementation.
  6. Experience with Ant, JUnit, and Selenium and continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins).
  7. Agile software development experience, particularly related to the SCRUM methodology.
