BASIC PURPOSE:
The Senior Designer manages the overall print and creative process and develops/adheres to brand/style guidelines, as well as project-specific design, layout, and production requirements. Ensures a consistent brand image throughout the organization on design projects.
The Senior Designer also manages creative and results-driven design and follows print production and web design best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Creates and manages print and digital projects with responsibility for a wide range of routine-to-complex projects such as: Logo Design, Branding/identity, Web Design, Collateral, Advertising, Printed Media, User Interface Design, Animation, Illustration, Photography, Typography, Retouching, Presentations, Multimedia, Email Design, Prezi, Forms, HTML/CSS, and CMS.
- Designs existing print materials for direct mail, collateral, posters, website graphics, internal forms, and more.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including business units and in-house and freelance creative teams to satisfy all Internet and print design requirements.
- Contributes to overall creative strategy development; brainstorms unique ideas and creates concepts that extend into marketing campaigns and synchronize extensions with various marketing channels.
- Reviews printer’s proofs to ensure accurate color reproduction, layout, text placement/treatment, etc.
- Works with the Director of Marketing to guide external design resources on Bank brand and image.
- Assists the Director of Marketing in managing, designing, preparing, and sending external email marketing campaigns.
- Develops, designs, and edits Microsoft PowerPoint templates on personal computers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS (inline styles), and web design is required.
- Candidate must provide an online and/or offline portfolio with a myriad of design projects in order to be considered for this position.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve goals without conflict.
- Current with emerging web standards and knowledge of user-centered design.
- Familiarity with a content management system (CMS) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree and seven to ten years of applied experience as an interactive graphic designer in a design studio or a corporate marketing department, and experience working with graphic design techniques; offset printing standards, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
WORK LOCATION: Onsite with an opportunity to work remotely partially. This position may not be filled in California, either in-person or remotely.
