Responsibilities:
- Lead projects and teams working on innovative transportation projects
- Conduct analysis, modeling, design, and planning for multimodal transportation projects
- Utilize traffic guidelines and software such as AASHTO, MUTCD, HCM, and HSM
- Work with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Manage multiple projects and handle time effectively
- Develop proposals for new assignments
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master's preferred
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Certified PTOE
- Minimum 10 years experience in traffic and/or ITS engineering
- Familiarity with traffic control devices, work zone traffic control, and ITS projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently and with a team
- Experience with VDOT preferred
