JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for leading projects. Complete responsibility for all aspects of the successful design, development, testing validation, and support of manufacturing launch for product/project. Provide front-line customer engineering interface for product/project. Responsible for leading the design and processes for a specific project, program, or product line to meet current and future needs. Support technical leadership. Develop the technical skills and knowledge and provide technical direction to the engineers and designers on the team. Develop and provide resolution to customer technical issues through the CBU/PBU chief engineer or engineering manager. Support core members of the SDT. Provide and support project direction to designers, engineers, and support personnel. Provide solutions to meet all technical and project issues and work with the team to ensure time and cost objectives are met. Understand and identify the resource requirements to meet program/product objectives. Implement and facilitate the use of best practices in engineering. Support the program/product engineering budget. Capable of communicating effectively with management. Support change, be disciplined to process, follow BOS, be able to coach, and possess strong communication skills. Demonstrate strength and drive to achieve project objectives, involve in critical tasks, make timely decisions, and elevate as appropriate. Telecommuting permitted 2 days a week. 10-20% Travel, Domestic and International.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a seating engineer or a related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:
- Catia v5 Solid Modeling;
- Teamcenter PLM;
- Customer interface;
- Complete Seat Systems or components.
RATE OF PAY: $117,853.00 per year
