Job Description:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Provide Controls expertise and guidance during equipment design, software design, build, debug, qualification and improvement phases of a project.
• Develops and designs the controls software packages utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and/or Human/Machine Interfaces (HMI)
• Intermediate understanding of electrical circuits, electrical panel design, pneumatic design, hydraulic design, PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI's (Human Machine Interface), robot programming, VFD's (Variable Frequency Drive), servo applications, and device communication networks (DNET, ENET, and Profibus)
• Write original PLC code (Allen Bradley or comparable) and modify existing code as required
• Experience with Fanuc/ABB Robotics or Vison systems a plus
• Work with different disciplines to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical vs mechanical issues.
• Ensures the equipment being started up and commissioned operates in accordance with the customer requirements as outlined in the approved specification
• Ability to work onsite within the offices or at customer locations as required

Experience/Education:

• BSEE or APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE (Degree is not required)
• 15+ years' Automation industry experience
• Required:
• Allen Bradley / Rockwell / Comparable PLCs
• Experience with various HMI systems
• Ability to develop code from scratch
• Troubleshoot/modify existing Code
