The Associate Director, Enterprise API Standards and Governance is a pivotal role in leading the technology transformation efforts focused on defining the product architecture standards and governance for API development across the enterprise. This role will bring together the providers and consumers of enterprise API through the development of a comprehensive business-focused enterprise catalog of services and interfaces/interactions, and drive the life cycle management of enterprise APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Articulate and evangelize Enterprise API products, logical architectures, and patterns including any interim/transition states
  2. Lead creation of standard integration products, capabilities, and architecture patterns for Enterprise API consumers/providers
  3. Lead creation and management of an enterprise repository of synchronous and asynchronous interactions/interfaces
  4. Define and evangelize API design, development, and operationalization standards
  5. Define and enforce the process and guidelines for Enterprise API lifecycle management
  6. Co-create Enterprise API provisioning and consumption security standards with Enterprise Information Security
  7. Lead product and architecture of shared/platform capabilities to enable federated Enterprise API development
  8. Lead and coach others towards enablement of contemporary integration and agile practices
  9. Drive improvement in the velocity, scale, and sophistication of integration solutions

Required Qualifications

  1. 8 years of experience in enterprise integration standards & governance leadership roles at leading-edge companies
  2. BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field required
  3. Experience defining technology standards and building frameworks for adoption and governance
  4. Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
  5. Experience with poly-cloud environments, cloud services, and platform software
  6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build trusting relationships with stakeholders
  7. Experience working with mission-critical systems
  8. Ability to apply the principles of analytical and critical thinking skills and other professional practices to diagnose or define problems, collect data, and solve abstract problems with widespread unit or organizational impact
  9. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  10. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and agile environment
  11. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  12. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  13. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  14. Prior management or team leadership experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $136,200 - $187,400 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
