We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Python to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in automating and optimizing our infrastructure, with a focus on Python-based scripting and tooling. This role requires collaboration with development and operations teams to streamline processes and ensure continuous integration and delivery pipelines are running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible
Write and maintain Python scripts to automate tasks such as tool intergation, deployments, infrastructure management, and monitoring.
Design, implement, and optimize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Python for scripting custom workflows and tooling.
Set up and maintain monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) using Python for data parsing, alerting, and reporting automation.
Develop Python scripts for automating security compliance checks, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
Implement and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, automating processes with Python as needed.
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance efficiency and reliability in deployment processes.
Continuously analyze and optimize system performance, leveraging Python for automated performance tuning and resource management.
Act as a key player in incident management and troubleshooting, with a focus on scripting automated remediation actions using Python.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on Python development and automation.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
Python Expertise: Deep expertise in Python scripting and automation, with a proven track record of using Python for infrastructure management and process automation.
CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI and proficiency in using Python for extending these pipelines.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible with Python-based automation of infrastructure deployments.
Scripting & Automation: Advanced skills in automation scripting using Python, including the ability to write and maintain custom automation frameworks.
Version Control: Proficiency in Git and experience managing code repositories with Python-based workflows.
Containerization: Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on automating tasks with Python.
Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and using Python for custom integrations.
Security: Familiarity with security best practices with Python used for automating security checks and compliance.
Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, particularly in the area of Python development and automation.
Database Experience: Knowledge of database administration, including automating tasks related to databases using Python.
Frameworks & Libraries: Familiarity with Python libraries such as boto3, paramiko, fabric, or similar for automating cloud and network operations.
