Job Title: Civil CAD Designer

Location: Sugar Grove, IL or Itasca, IL.

Job type and Duration: Full-Time – Permanent

Our client, a major provider of civil engineering services in Northern Illinois, is looking to hire a Civil CAD Designer to join their team in one of their many locations.

The Civil CAD Designer will focus on projects for the CAD Group.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of civil engineering plans
• Planning and design of roadway and related projects
• Planning and design of underground utility and stormwater projects
• Planning and design of site development-related projects
• Assist the project manager and engineer with the preparation of plans
• Keep up with the latest CADD technology and client requirements

Qualifications:

• High school graduate with an Associate's degree or certificate in drafting technology or related field
• Experience working with Illinois DOT's or local agencies preferred
• Prior experience in the preparation of plans, plans and profiles, cross-sections, and infrastructure improvements
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation a plus OR
• Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience with MicroStation; AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A valid driver's license
