Job Requirements / Description

The CNC Machinist/Programmer will create machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machines, while also maintaining equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, load, edit, and store CNC programs using G and M code or MasterCAM.
  • Conduct test runs of programs and/or materials prior to full-scale operations.
  • Adjust CAD programs, work shifts, or tool offsets on the machine controller to enhance part quality and runtime efficiency.
  • Set up CNC lathes and mills, and calibrate various machines to produce a diverse range of parts with precise dimensions and quality.
  • Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components.
  • Utilize in-house resources for maintaining, inspecting, and upgrading tools, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Maintain records and inventories of tools, fixtures, coolants, and other items to ensure efficient production.
  • Assist in training and instructing assigned operators on methods, operating procedures,
  • and work inspection.

Position Requirements:

  • Previous programming experience with 3/4/5 axis machines using MasterCam, along with a solid understanding of G and M code.
  • Ability to interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, setup instructions, material specifications, and production orders.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a programming role utilizing MasterCam.
