Job Requirements / Description
The CNC Machinist/Programmer will create machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machines, while also maintaining equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, load, edit, and store CNC programs using G and M code or MasterCAM.
- Conduct test runs of programs and/or materials prior to full-scale operations.
- Adjust CAD programs, work shifts, or tool offsets on the machine controller to enhance part quality and runtime efficiency.
- Set up CNC lathes and mills, and calibrate various machines to produce a diverse range of parts with precise dimensions and quality.
- Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components.
- Utilize in-house resources for maintaining, inspecting, and upgrading tools, fixtures, and gauges.
- Maintain records and inventories of tools, fixtures, coolants, and other items to ensure efficient production.
- Assist in training and instructing assigned operators on methods, operating procedures,
- and work inspection.
Position Requirements:
- Previous programming experience with 3/4/5 axis machines using MasterCam, along with a solid understanding of G and M code.
- Ability to interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, setup instructions, material specifications, and production orders.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in a programming role utilizing MasterCam.
