Description:
Travel: 25-50% travel domestically and into Mexico.
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
- Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
- Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
- May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Summary:
Special project focal point to facilitate knowledge transfer between multiple production locations.
Coordinate across multi-site cross functional team to ensure the successful implementation of existing products at primary site, secondary site or dual sourced at both.
Tooling review and management between sites.
Determines the methods and sequences of manufacturing operations for moderately complex products and machine parts and assemblies; ensures that products and processes meet customer quality requirements.
Discover and document hidden factory and prepare written or graphical work instructions for the communication of manufacturing requirements to production personnel.
Support root cause-corrective action activities as necessary.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional (e.g. quality, design, or test engineering) or project team responsibilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
Years of Experience required 2-5
Preferred Requirements
Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering experience.
General knowledge of aerospace or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing plants.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and policies and recommend changes to procedures.
Familiarity with welding of aluminum and steel sheet metal assemblies in an aerospace environment.
Familiarity with brazed heat exchanger core assemblies.
Willingness to travel 25-50%,
