As a Water Planning Engineer II , you will join a team of experienced, creative, and mission-driven engineers, scientists, landscape architects, planners, biologists, and other experts working to solve a variety of environmental issues from watershed- to site-scales and from urban to rural realms.

In this role we will count on you to:

• Support planning of stormwater infrastructure from distributed green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) to centralized regional treatment.
• Support stormwater and urban watershed planning to improve water quality and ecosystem health.
• Support municipal stormwater program planning, including policy and guidance development and NPDES compliance.
• Support climate vulnerability assessments and adaptation planning.
• Produce planning, conceptual design, and technical documents.
• Review documents, synthesize information, and effectively communicate with both internal and external team members and partners.
• Learn to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Bring your own knowledge, experiences, and inspirations to make our team better.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in stormwater and urban watershed planning.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Experience with planning and/or design of GSI and other stormwater management infrastructure.
• Experience and technical proficiency with ArcGIS and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (including SWMM, MGSFlood, and/or WWHM).
• Technical writing and the preparation of planning and design reports and technical memos.
• Experience coordinating with agencies, subconsultants, and planning and design partners.
• Commitment to staying current with technical and regulatory developments in the dynamic field of stormwater management and green building.
• Strong team collaboration, clear written and verbal communication abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams and juggle multiple tasks.
• A passion for developing sustainable solutions to complex water resource problems for public and private clients.

• This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the annual salary range is $81,885 – $103,721. Salary is determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, type/relevance of experience, skillset, and fit for the role.
