OverviewKimley-Horn's Miami, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Restoration Structures team! This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the management and leading of projectsDevelop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidanceTrain and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineeringPerform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages, while maintaining a Quality Control program for the entire projectLead and provide support for construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineeringSupport and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team membersContribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clientsQualifications8+ years of relevant engineering design experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, when neededKnowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design softwareStrong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrentlyExcellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous mindset on personal and staff developmentPositive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethicWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
