Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead and contribute significantly to the design of complex structures for high-performance drone systems, overseeing the entire process from initial concept to production.
  • Facilitate the integration of ISR and radio transceiver equipment, ensuring seamless compatibility with advanced modular payload systems.
  • Offer expert technical guidance to the mechanical engineering team, particularly in areas of vibration analysis and thermal design.
  • Enhance the design process and contribute to the development of the product roadmap, including new features and products.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proven ability in analyzing and dampening vibration modes using FEA or Expertise in implementing efficient thermal management solutions in constrained environments.
  • Significant experience in electronics packaging.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize designs for quality and cost (DFM).
  • Familiarity with ECAD/MCAD exchange formats (IDF/IDX).

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of industry experience, preferably in Defense or Aerospace.
  • Experience in technical leadership or Integrated Product Team (IPT) roles.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461 (EMI) and MIL-STD-810 (water and vibration) design principles.
  • Expertise in materials technology, including emerging technologies and fabrication methods.
  • Experience with 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS).
  • Background in unmanned systems or hobbyist RC experience.
