Mechanical Project Engineer I-II - HVAC & Plumbing Design Experience Required

If so, TETER is looking for a skilled and driven Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and make a significant impact in the field of mechanical engineering design.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, working with the Senior Project Engineer and/or Principal Engineer, you will manage the development of project documents in conjunction with the work of other architects, engineers, and technicians. To do this you will be responsible for:

  • HVAC load calculations
  • HVAC & Plumbing system design
  • Coordinating manpower assignments
  • Managing project financials (Including reporting, EV updates, etc.)
  • Working with industry vendors

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or equivalent work experience. Master's degree is acceptable but not required.
  • 3-10 years of experience as a Professional Mechanical Engineer delivering mechanical design services on building projects in the state of California.
  • Proficient in all levels of construction document development. Documented leadership skills/abilities are preferred.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Effective manager of his/her own time including prioritizing, estimating hours, and completing tasks on time.
  • Self-motivated and committed to growing him/herself and the firm.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit drafting.
  • Possesses sound judgment and is able to provide reasoning/support for his/her decisions

Preferred requirements include:

  • Current registration as a Mechanical Engineer (P.E.) in California or in another state with the ability to become licensed in California within 6 months of hire.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range for this role is $110,000-140,000 annual salary (must be willing to work in-office 50% of each week). Actual pay will be determined based on license, experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
