Our client is a searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a deep enthusiasm for pushing the limits of real-time communication technologies. The goal is to build the central infrastructure for autonomous systems. This will be a role focused on new product development, with little red tape!

You will be working with a variety of sensors, hardware interfaces, and AI-powered analytics, all while maintaining top-tier security and reliability.

Your Responsibilities

• You will be the benchmark for designing hardware in autonomous marine systems.
• You’ll work on advanced electronics challenges from initial concept through to final production.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software developers and autonomy specialists, you will enhance our core technologies.

Key Duties

• Design and create cutting-edge hardware solutions, including PCB layouts and embedded systems tailored for marine autonomy.
• Work in tandem with software engineers to integrate hardware into our real-time data infrastructure, ensuring smooth functionality.
• Oversee the development and testing of hardware prototypes, refining designs based on feedback and performance.
• Lead technical decisions regarding hardware architecture and contribute to evolving our technology ecosystem.
• Ensure all hardware solutions adhere to stringent military-grade standards for security and reliability.

Desired Experience

• Demonstrated success in hardware and PCB design with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Expertise in designing and testing electronics for high-reliability and high-performance environments.
• Proficiency in CAD software for PCB layouts.
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-driven designs.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power management, and thermal considerations.
• Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards in defense and maritime sectors.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
• Previous work in startup or high-growth tech settings is a plus.
