CME Associates is seeking a Senior Professional Municipal Engineer or (Junior) Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Howell, NJ. As a Municipal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of engineering and inspection projects for various municipal and county projects in New Jersey. You will work closely with municipal and county representatives, inspectors, engineers, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Design and Analysis: Perform engineering analysis, design calculations, and preparation of construction documents for various municipal engineering projects, including municipal and county-owned parks and other public facilities, transportation, and utility infrastructure.
• Regulatory Compliance: Navigate local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes to secure approvals and ensure compliance with environmental, zoning, and safety requirements.
• Client Interaction: Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, project updates, and addressing client concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and other engineers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License: Must hold a valid Professional Engineer license in the state of New Jersey or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in the design of municipal stormwater and wastewater systems, combined sewers and/or septic systems, site development, land planning, municipal and county roadways, construction administration and construction inspection. Experience with the review of land development applications is a plus.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as HydroCAD or project management software is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively.
