Civil Engineer

Day to Day: An employer in the Titusville, FL market is looking for a Civil Systems Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting the Operations & Maintenance team in writing maintenance procedures, providing overview and guidance to technicians for maintenance on civil/structural systems, creating schedules, work orders and procedures for maintenance on civil/structural systems. This person will work both in the office and out in the field. The position will be 5 days per week onsite

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in Civil Engineering systems maintenance and operations
• Experience writing and creating work orders for technicians to follow in the field
• Extensive structural engineering experience
• Working knowledges in many disciplines of Civil Engineering: Site Drainage, Roadway, Structural, Bridge, Geotech, Environmental, Water/Waste Water, Coastal Structures, Construction and more
• Structural design and analysis experiences of various types of construction materials: wood, concrete, steel, masonry, and composite-systems.
• Fluent with various types of pre-engineered and/or pre-fabricated structural components: wood or steel trusses, composite-decks, concrete pre-cast members, steel joists, steel panels
• Fluent with International Building Codes, International Existing Building Codes, and ASCE 7 Wind Provision Latest Edition
• Fluent with various material design standards: ACI-318, ACI-530, AISC, AISI Cold-Formed Steel, AWC/NDS
