Generative AI Lead Developer

Technical/Functional Skills Required:

• Generative AI : Experience with Gemini and/or GPT models
• Experience building RAG applications.
• Chatbot UI experience.
• Comfortable with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)- BigQuery , Vertex AI , Cloud Storage , Dataflow , and Cloud AI services.
• Strong Analytical SQL knowledge.
• AI/ML : Expertise in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) , Model Management , Feature Engineering , and Model Deployment .
• Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python , Java , SQL , TensorFlow , PyTorch , and Kubernetes for ML workflows.
• CI/CD : Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab , Docker , and Kubernetes for continuous integration and automated deployment.
• Retail Domain : Knowledge of retail business processes and customer engagement technologies is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop GenAI Solutions : Develop end-to-end GenAI architectures, including data ingestion, training, evaluation, and deployment of AI models, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical constraints.
• Ensure Scalability & Performance : Architect cloud-native, scalable solutions using GCP’s services, ensuring that AI models can scale with Macy’s growing data needs.
• Model Deployment & Monitoring : Operationalize AI/ML models, ensuring continuous monitoring, automated updates, and retraining pipelines for model accuracy and performance.
• Security & Compliance : Ensure AI models and data handling adhere to industry standards for security, privacy, and compliance.
• Innovate with Latest Technologies : Stay updated on emerging trends in GenAI, GCP services, and cloud-based AI/ML solutions, recommending and implementing new tools and technologies to improve Macy’s AI capabilities.

Generic Managerial Skills:

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI-driven products and solutions.
• Mentor & Lead Teams : Guide a team of AI/ML engineers and architects in the design and implementation of GenAI solutions while fostering innovation and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
• Offshore Coordination : Coordinate and drive the delivery of Offshore engineers.
