As a Hardware Engineer , you will design, develop, and test cutting-edge communication technology, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in creating innovative solutions that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Lead circuit card assembly (CCA) design, including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Testing & Validation: Develop test plans, perform simulations, and validate hardware for performance and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and stakeholders to integrate CCAs into broader systems.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware issues during development and production.
- Optimization: Enhance circuit designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
- Documentation: Maintain clear design records and test results.
- Project Planning: Develop plans and schedules, managing resources from concept to product release.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in hardware design.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by researching and implementing new methods, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's in electrical or computer engineering.
- Experience: 8-15 years in hardware design, including experience with FPGA and microcontroller projects.
- Tools: Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro).
- Technical Expertise: High-speed digital design (PCI, PCIe, USB, Thunderbolt), analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power, and thermal management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DO-254 certification.
- Familiarity with environmental testing standards (thermal, shock & vibration).
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 .
- Experience with Multi-Chip Module (MCM) designs is a plus.
