The successful candidate for this position will provide engineering support for the water/wastewater group. Typical projects include a wide variety of municipal water/wastewater projects involving collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and rehabilitation. This position is part of a team that specializes in the engineering of public water systems to upgrade aging infrastructure, provide sustainable solutions, and offer innovative approaches to help preserve safe and reliable water delivery for California. A strong interest in water infrastructure is a plus.
Your Role
- Water/wastewater infrastructure design that includes water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, storm drainage, permitting, grading, hydraulic design, and erosion control.
- Support preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
- Support preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
- Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
- Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines.
- Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- 0-5 years of experience; Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Experience in AutoCAD/ Civil 3D/MicroStation preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel preferred.
Salary Range: $69,000 - $86,000, depending on experience
