Due to the ongoing success of this initiative, we are currently looking for highly skilled and motivated Process Engineers to join our dedicated team in undertaking the Front-End Engineering Design of cutting-edge industrial fuel switching projects.Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer with a proven track record in the field of future energy, particularly in industrial fuel switching and renewable gas technologies. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, optimising, and implementing advanced processes that contribute to the transition towards a low-carbon, energy-efficient future. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting our clients' efforts to adopt sustainable energy solutions while enhancing operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualise, develop, and execute FEED studies for industrial fuel switching projects. Apply your proficiency in process simulation and optimisation tools to design and analyse energy systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. Lead technical assessments and feasibility studies for industrial fuel switching initiatives, identifying optimal strategies for reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency. Engage with clients and stakeholders to articulate complex technical concepts, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions relating to fuel switching, renewable energy integration, CCUS and other emerging technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the renewable gas sector, applying this knowledge to inform project strategies and design decisions. Actively participate in technical workshops, seminars, and conferences to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with GHD's global network of experts to leverage cross-functional expertise and drive excellence in project outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in process engineering roles, with a strong focus on energy-related projects. Demonstrated expertise in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) processes and principles. Proven track record in executing successful industrial fuel switching projects, preferably within the UK energy landscape. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS), and familiarity with process safety and environmental regulations. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex technical scenarios. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients.
