SHIFT
ORE - Shift 4 ($1) (United States of America - Oregon)A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Machine Operator/Machinist II, Orchid Oregon, performs set up of moderately complex jobs and operation of CNC equipment, ensuring that all required processes are completed to machine finished products to customer specifications in accordance with established policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Set up moderately complex jobs and operate conventional, special-purpose and computerized numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic parts.
- Review and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specification, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and set-up requirements
- Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, grinders and tooling pre-setter.
- Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings to programmed control data ensuring functionality and performance.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine
- Confer with programmers to resolve machining or assembly problems.
- Performs set up of 3 & 4 Axis CNC machines.
- Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
- Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
- Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with minimal supervision.
- Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Completes all required training.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
- 2+ Years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Machining Trade School (Preferred)
