Asst. Chief Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asst. Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of projects, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards. The Asst. Chief Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining our industrial facilities and equipment, as well as implementing strategies to improve their efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects
• Develop and implement project management plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Manage and coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and other support staff
• Conduct regular inspections of industrial facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Utilize logic controllers and electrical systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Use mechanical knowledge to inspect and maintain mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential issues
• Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Supervise and train junior engineers and technicians
• Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices
• Experience in managing industrial maintenance and repair projects
• Proficiency in the use of logic controllers and industrial electrical systems
• Experience in project management and supervising engineers and technicians
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and their applications
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong mechanical knowledge and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
