AI Cloud Engineer

Title : Gen AI Cloud Principal Engineer

Location : Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

In this role you will lead the cloud strategy for the AI Platform.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Design and implement scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud architecture
• Develop and maintain cloud strategy including adoption plans and migration strategies
• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend improvements, upgrades, and optimizations for the AI cloud platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and enable critical cloud services for AI platform.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies based on organizational requirements and industry trends
• Lead cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration support
• Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams on cloud architecture principles and best practices

Basic, Required Qualifications:

Minimum three years' experience with the following:

• Cloud architecture principles including compute, storage, and networking services
• Advanced cloud services including ML, big data, and serverless computing
• Major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Cloud project planning such as design, deployment, and migration
• Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
• Containerization and orchestration technologies (docker and Kubernetes)
• Cloud cost management and optimization techniques
• Azure and/or Google Cloud
• Kubernetes (Openshift/GKE/AKS)
• Cloud Storage and Cloud Data warehouse services (GCS/BigQuery)
• AI cloud services (Vertex AI or AzureML)
• Big Data and engineering using industry tools (e.g. Apache Spark)
• Enterprise migrations (e.g. application, data, infrastructure)
