Job Requirements / Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer in Northern New Jersey to oversee and lead our civil construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, budget, and timeline.
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to identify challenges and propose solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and control project progress, track expenses, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement, and expense monitoring.
- Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Address potential issues and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure plans align with project requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.
